You guys were right,I had to be patient. It didn't have all the options I wanted but for the great price(I way low balled it never thinking they would accept) and other crap that came with, hardtop, rear speaker kit already installed,1 owner w/ records I couldn't pass. Thankfully I got a PPI done the car at Niello Porsche ($350....ouch),and they told me what was going out on with the car.......clutch is on it's way out(thing is heavy to press to the floor),the rear main seal is slowly leaking & c.v. boots. That didn't scare me,normal on Boxsters,no biggie.

Now for the fun part,986 S KICK A55!   This 3.2L & 6-spd rocks! Even my Dad was impressed and he drives a 3.4L 996 daily. I honestly do not feel like it needs any more speed, feels fine as is.

The options;
239 - (?)
413 - Turbo Look Wheels(For Sale)
424- CD Compartment (Also for Sale)
437- Electric Seat Passenger
438 - Electric Seat passenger
454 - Auto Speed Control
490- Hifi
502 - (?)
537 - SEATING POSITION CONTROL FOR CONFORT SEAT, LEFT
551- Wind Deflector
584 - *(anyone know this one?)
659- Computer (overrated,I still have yet to use it)
680- DSP
692 - CD Changer

I think one of those that I don't know is the hardtop.

I'd like to thank everyone that contributed to the Boxster S fund,I greatly appreciate. James dude I can't thank you enough for your help looking for another Boxster.

Now for the fun! I get to a do a 60k tune-up all over again! It's fun going through everything again, except now I'm 100% sure what I'm doing this time. :p

Who wants to sell me Litronics? :D

unklekraker 10-18-2007 08:56 PM

Nice work, Blink. You sure have a knack for finding the rare colors. You'll like the hardtop. It's really nice, not only for cold weather (since you won't need it for that), but also for changing the car's personality. What color is the interior, gray or tan? I can't tell.

Wow, a brand new blank canvass. Here we go again...

Wonko The Sane 10-18-2007 09:22 PM

Nice find Blink! Congrats!

Yeah the hardtop is pretty funny. Everyone that said they don't like Boxster before, they now love it with the hardtop....too bad it's already off the car,I bought a roadster for a reason.

The interior is grey. I refuse to post pics of the interior until I get the center console painted and give it my own touch. :p

djomlas 10-18-2007 09:23 PM

Nice man, congrats.
very nice color, and yes you will love the hardtop.

Topless 10-18-2007 09:23 PM

Excellent! Time to go carving. I dig the color. :D

rockbox 10-19-2007 12:21 AM

Burg Boxster 10-19-2007 04:44 AM

Enjoy and have fun modding this one too!

bmussatti 10-19-2007 04:54 AM

IowaS 10-19-2007 05:18 AM

Good for you blink...great color...very happy for you.

porscheracer 10-19-2007 06:04 AM

nice ride dude!
first i would take off the hardtop and install a german aftermarket exhaust system. (exhaust and header) pls do not buy muffler for less then 1k otherwise your car will sound like a tin can. i recommend the following mods: FVD, Ruf or Cargraphic.

lastly, make sure to send some pics with girl..

happy motoring,

rick3000 10-19-2007 07:21 AM

Nice Car!
I like the hardtop, it just make the car more practical.

Moostang 10-19-2007 07:30 AM

Congrats Blink.. great lookin ride. Thank God, now I don't have to sell mine at all. :D

rick3000 10-19-2007 07:36 AM

Here are the codes:

502 - Production in Valmet
584 - Storage Above the Engine

I have never seen 239. It could be the hardtop.
Correction - 239 is 18" Wheels

dcporsche99 10-19-2007 08:39 AM

Congrats Blink! Enjoy!

Chills 10-19-2007 08:45 AM

Dr. Kill 10-19-2007 09:33 AM

Nice to see you back in the game. Congrats on your "new" S.

Perfectlap 10-19-2007 09:49 AM

Glad to hear you low balled them...as my Israel multi millionaire friend says
(in thick Israeli Accent: "pfffft.....only d1ck heads pay full price".
p.s.
weird, I was just thinking about this color..

derb 10-19-2007 10:46 AM

Congrats on getting the new ride so quickly.
How does Orient Red compare to Guards Red? I don't think I've ever seen Orient Red.

Regards,
mike

TriGem2k 10-19-2007 10:53 AM

Congrats Robert! All that searching I did here in SoCal means you have to take a drive down here and show me the new ride in person.

boggtown 10-19-2007 11:01 AM

Nice, glad to see you back in a box. Of course some clear lights would make it pop, but I think you should save your money for some nice nice rims. I think some FIKSE would make that car look freaking mean. So what was the final price?

conradtan 10-19-2007 11:02 AM

Nice ride! Have fun with your mods!

$20k. I'm getting alot of wear & tear work done to it right now. It's having a fresh clutch, flywheel, updated r.m.s. along w/ the updated i.m.s. seal installed & 4 new c.v. boots. I get it back Tuesday,I CAN'T WAIT! I'm actually pretty hyped about all the work I'm getting done to it,I get to wear out a new clutch! :D Trust me,with how I drove this thing already I will go through the new clutch in 1 year tops. :p

Boxter 10-19-2007 11:23 AM

Congrats...way to get right back on the horse!

CJ_Boxster 10-19-2007 11:27 AM

Gary in BR 10-19-2007 04:22 PM

I love it...great job.

Bambino Don 10-20-2007 06:19 AM

That looks so clean, Im a fan of the Orient Red, I see a 2.5 version every day and when you see it in the distance your unsure if its a porsche its one of those colours that make you think a Ferrari is coming, I bloody love it. Suppose Hard-top is a bonus, not my thing as i would never keep in on my car. lol
Did you manage to keep your old lights from the blue Box or are you going to have to order a new set??
I cant help thinking Black wheels with chrome lip would look awesome, but the turbo's look fresh.

What are the plans??

James

Franco 10-20-2007 07:33 AM

Hi,nice ride dude! Congrats

I couldn't keep the lights off my old car. I will just have to buy Litronics from someone.

What are the plans??

I wanted to start fresh with this car. It's getting a new clutch,flywheel,r.m.s.,i.m.s. seal & 4 c.v. boots done right now. As soon as it comes home from the shop it's getting new oil + filter along with a new air filter. After that it's new wheels, coilovers or Litronics first, whatever I can decide on first.

boggtown 10-20-2007 10:21 AM

new air filter huh? You should check my for sale add, lol.

Stunin_Stud 10-20-2007 11:22 AM

nice

Hey once again congrats for finding the car. with the right touch you can bring out the color in an exotic way. here are things to consider.

exterior: litronics, smoked corners, updated tail lights (or even the LED ones). smoked third brake light, cayman style spoiler, rear diffuser, bumper plugs, your choice of front bumper and sideskirts, some nice wheels to offset the brakes and your color, gemballa side vents.

all this will look sick with your hardtop

Interior: you want the aluminum/leather or carbon look. Paint your dash strips silver, get a silver center console or carbon, leather airbag for your steering wheel, nice floor matts, trafffic pro with aux Ipod connector, nice aluminum shift knob, handbrake. thats a start.

Suspension: get H&R springs if you want looks and handling. if you want a lil more get PSS9. also get spacers for a more aggressive look.

power: evo intake, sport exhaust

when you change the clutch look for a limited slip for cheap.

anyways that should keep you busy for a while

squeak 10-20-2007 11:30 AM

Looks pretty sweet! Congrats on your new S! :)

Cheers, Gord.

I have a Jewish friend that says, "Only Gentiles pay retail."

Evidently, your friend likes you and didn't want to diss you for not being Jewish.

Nice.

Grizzly 10-20-2007 12:45 PM

I was thinking how smokin' the whole center console would look in Orient Red. Maybe you could do a few other accent pieces as well, but not too many, so it wouldn't look gaudy.

Orient red is a stand out color. There's no way to be stealth in that car. I don't remember who makes the SSR replicas that David J had on his car, but they would be hot in 19s like he had. Lots of airspace to let those big red calipers breathe.

Sweet !!
