Question for those with GT3 Replica seats

How "safe" do you feel with your seats? I am wanting a GT3 seat in a bad way but really don't like the 1300 dollar price tag. On the other hand I'm not entirely confident without the FIA crash approvals on the replicas. How is the fit finish compared to oem? pics pics pics? Thanks in advance guys, I'm sure I'll end up with a Sparco Evo2, but I would love a leather gt3.

Steve

The carbon fiber replicas are the only way to go. The fiberglass ones are not near as strong. Mine are very stiff, I feel safe. Ive got some pics in my renntech registry, look in my sig.

I agree, the prices for factory GT3 seats do hurt, but I'm really not sure I'd want to become a test pilot in a crash on a non certificated seat, no matter how well they seem to be built.

Just my $.02

I don't have them but have seen them. I too won't buy them without a certification.
