B&M Short Throw Shifter ??? NEED HELP

Guys

I just put a B&M shifter in and it shifts 100% better and the throw is way shorter. Here is my question. When putting the car into reverse it feels like the shifter rolls to the right a little. I guess what I am trying to say is when I push forward to enter into reverse, the shifter rolls to the right a little instead of going dead straight. It engages the gear perfectly, but I am a little pickey. I took it back to the shop that installed it and they said, it is the way the short throw shifter was designed.

Does anyone else's B&M shifter feel the same???

Any input on this topic would be great. I have a 2000 Boxster S
Thanks

Bith the B&M the length of the throws are reduced on all gears, including reverse. Give it some time to get use to it.

Mine does not feel like that. It engages straight on and stays there. Very positive engagement with no roll. I would think that if it was to roll it would be to the left not the right. If a part was worn or loose gravity would flop it to the left??
