What is this?

Found it on the drivers side floor of the Boxster. Any idea what it is supposed to cover?

Thanks,

I might be wrong but I think that is foreign to the boxster and doesn't belong anywhere in the car.

Looks like a cap to a squirt bottle or water gun.

What is this?

I was thinking that it came from under the dash. No squirt uns or water bottles would have an opportunity to get in there. It was at the dealer for service since I last vacuumed the floor...perhaps it was something they used?

I'm not sure why you used that unkown black thing for reference, but that looks like a US Nickel - a denomination of US Currency. Worh .05 US dollars ;)

looks like someone accidently dropped it in your car at the dealership. thats how i started dipping, some bastard left his can in my car and i thought i would try it:(

I think the clue I'm looking for...

is does anybody recognize the symbol on the cap? It looks like one of those intrnational symbols that is supposed to be universally recognized but instead is quite cryptic. If I was guessing I would think it might be the pcover to some power receptacle.

Thanks,

I like this trivia stuff. Stuff found in your car - what is it?

So, what is this?

A body on the staircase?? What do I win?

I believe it's 'female' cap cover for a DC or AC power input. They usually cover a 12v plug-in for powering items like monitor, laptop, scanner, charging kit, etc... It's looks quite large so I'm guessing it just a plug cover.

I attached a an example of a female 12v DC/AC plug for a charger I have. The symbol is the same. Did you just have it serviced? It might be a cover for one of the service scanning tools. I have a scanning tool that has a power plug cover that large for scanning DHL shipping boxes in my warehouse.

yeah, and the round circle/hole looks like it belong on the cable so it doesn't get lost, although its too late for that now haha
