Au revoir, les enfants...

I finally found someone willing to assume my SLK lease and traded in the 987 S this weekend on a Mercedes SL. The Boxster and the SL are both great automobiles, although obviously different, but lately I've been gravitating towards the driving experience offered by the SL. If you've driven or been in one, you'll know what I mean. I also consider the R230 iteration to be the most beautiful non-exotic on the road today, so I've been jonesing to make the switch for awhile.

My Boxster S should show up soon in the Orange County dealer network, as I got the impression that MB of Laguna Niguel wasn't going to keep the car, so if you're interested in picking up a fine (and distinctive) sample of an 06 S, I can recommend mine to any prospective buyer in the area. She was treated well over 24K miles.

I did want to let you all know how much I enjoyed the dialog on this forum, even when my opinion and yours differed, and I wish you all good luck with your fine automobiles.

SD987 to SD987S to SDSL.......Congrats on the new purchase.

What did you get exactly the SL550?

Family friend of our had a SL55 for a while and let me take it out a few times. It was a nice drive although just wasn't raw enough for me. It is a very powerful yet plush car.

Enjoy.
