MB dealer charge, what the...
 

so at the dealer today, went to check out the noise from my GFs C320, every time the car turns it squeaks and rattles.

while they were checking the car, the light on the dash showed that the light bulb was bad and running on a backup bulb. they asked if they should change it...
how much?

do you mean $6? (which is still overpriced bulb, but i guess OK once yure there and already paying 150 for them to examine the problem)

well thank you, but you must be retarded if you think well pay 60 for a bulb change.

btw, its in the tail light, and once you open the trunk, pull on a carpet piece, the bulb is just there. a simple 5 second change.
few months back the other tail light did the same thing, so we bought a pack of 2, only come in 2 where we got them, so there was one still in the glove box, so just swapped it.

but wow that was just the stupidest charge amount

yap...the mbforum that I go to has the same complain and most of them said that the MB are really good as long as it's under manu. warranty and ext. warranty...got my warranty till 100k :D

so far my experience with the MB dealer are okay...they did a Service A and replace wiper blade for free...

well car is still under warranty, and so far they were nice to us, with all the repairs (comes with having a benz looks like), but 60 for a bulb, get the hell outta here.

May sound nuts, but that's one of the reasons I sold my Benzs and went back to Fords. My last E320 was always at the dealer and it was always expensive. The best part for me was how they tried to explain why things that were clearly under warranty weren't covered.

IMO, Mercedes quality has slipped big time since I bought my first one in '89. As much as I love the looks of the CLS, I don't think I'll ever go back to owning a Benz.
