Thanks Nick! I held my own on Saturday, but I still have a long way to go. They kicked me out of novice, but I can't catch the other guy in my class with the 96 grand sport anymore. We used to be about even, now he is usually a couple of seconds faster than me. He has R compound tires and I have street tires so a switch to stickier rubber would help even things up a bit I would think. In SCCA you can use sticky slicks and still be considered stock so maybe I'll consider getting some once I get a bit more experience. The guys in the yellow Z06 and the silver turbo are insanely fast.....I think they were about 6 sec faster than me. Those guys can drive! I hope to be at that level someday.
