If you haven't driven one, go to your local VW or Audi dealer and drive a GTi or TT with the DSG transmission. It is the best transmission ever made, in my opinion. It is a completely different and far superior execution than the BMW or Ferrari versions, and it is nothing like the torque-converter equipped look-a-likes running around.
