Track day @ Willow Spring, CA. Anyone?

I am planning to take my 986S to Big Willow for once just to learn its full potential.
The event I will be attending to is Open Track Racing
Willow Spring big track is Porsche club's home court if I remember correctly.

I have always been taking both of my other cars there for too many times.

I am just checking to see if you guys would be interested going. It is a perfect track for the need for speed guys.

Taking it 80mph-100mph @ turn 8 and then trying to reach your top speed @ the front straight is heaven.

Most likely I will go on Nov. 14 2007 (Wed). Sept is still too hot for the daily driver 986S. Nov will be perfect.

Yep, Im pretty positive im going, i just have to pick a date to go cause there are 2 or 3 november dates to choose from, which day are you going? Ill probably go the day that you go so im atleast know someone there. Ill likely have my Springs from GaryBR installed by then and a upgraded sway bar for the rear.. or is the front that is needed most????

I only see Nov. 14 2007 (Wed) on the upcoming events list.
I am not familiar to 986's setup.

For my MINI (FWD), I only needed to upgrade the rear swaybar.
For my WRX (AWD), I only needed to upgrade the front swaybar.
For my 95 M3, I needed to do front and rear.
I am trying to keep my 986 stock so I better not look into it.

			I'd like to go.
I'm in Huntington Beach but can make a weekend out of it and visit some family in the San Fernando Valley and Valencia.

I've decided to only do motorcycle track days. The possible issues with the car are just too expensive to consider. I like a bike because it's cheaper to deal with crashing, there's more technique and form to play with, and it's um quite a bit faster
Oh yeah, and new set of PP2CT bike tires cost the same as a single PS2 tire. That's kinda sad...

			David,
Unfortunately, the only downside to racing motorcycles vs racing cars is the potential for bodily injury is much greater
Either way, enjoy !
