Lost wheel crest

I discovered that my right rear wheel center cap has shucked its colored metal crest! The center cap has a shield shaped recess where the crest sits and is held on by a center post. It measures about 1 3/4" by 1 1/4". Does anyone know where I can buy just a replacement crest so I can remount it? I contacted the outfit I bought the set from but of course have heard nothing back as of yet. Any info. leading to the replacement of this item will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

AKL

I've seen them on ebay occasionally. Of course, there aren't any up there right now. I'll keep looking.

Thanks Griz, I am glad to see that you are still out and about and continue to cheat death on those great big wheels! I still am partial to those five spoke Carrera 18" jobs but that is a project for next year. Thanks for keeping your eye out for me and I will continue to look and hope I get a reply back from the outfit that sold me the set of center caps in the first place. I think I will also epoxy or someway reinforce the peg on the remaining caps I do have so as not to have a continuing problem.

Thanks Tool Pants, but mine do not have any holes, just a center peg that goes through one center hole in a shield shaped recess in the center cap. I continue to look.

I have a leftover crested center cap from the set of four I bought when some jerk decided to snag a few of mine and key my passenger side. I'll post a pic of it tonight to see if it is the kind you're looking for.

Three more and I'll have a full set....
