Springs

Does anyone know where I can find the starndard springs and shoks for the 99+ model? I have a 97 but just hate my suspension. I believe after the 99 the suspension was changed and the ride is not as rough as the 97.

I believe it's just the opposite. I think Porshe went with stiffer springs, increased the firmess of the shocks, and beefed up the roll bars on the later models.

Juan, your struts are now 10 years old. You should buy a new set of struts and replace the springs with some H&R springs that will lower your car an inch or so. My mechanic can do the swap for you reasonably compared to a stealership or large shop. Of course, there's a lot involved in swapping out struts and it's time consuming.

Agreed - your ride is going to be incredibly harsh because of how old those struts are. Even sport struts (new) will feel like butter compared to those, and keep in mind the rebound is likely very harsh as well since the seals are likely worn.

Get some new struts, and I agree about the shorter springs as well. That's how the Europeans got theirs stock, and it looks far better.

Thanks guys I will try that. I I replaced the struts only would I see improvement or do I need to change both struts and springs? Randall, I will send you a PM maybe you can tell me how to contact your mechanic.

I have shocks and springs from a 02' S(w/ 40k freeway) in the garage that I would let you have for dirt cheap, and I mean dirt cheap, provided you paid shipping. PM me if you want them.
