That should be standard equipment on all cars sold in NJ and NY...

I wish the US would enforce something like 'Rechtsfahren' like they do in Germany. It means 'drive right' (as in the right hand lane). The left lane is for passing. You can face some SERIOUS fines if someone passes you on the right because you didn't move over to let them pass.

It happens a LOT here on the freeways. People think they can get in the left lane and just do whatever the hell they want to. At least when I recently went through the back country to another small city last weekend, the TRUE Texans would pull over onto the shoulder to let you pass them. That's some good ol' courtesy right there!

Radios should play PSAs, reminding people that the left lane is the FAST lane, and you need to MOVE THE F*** OVER if people are coming up on you, or passing you on the right.

Personally, I wouldn't put some bigass sticker like that on my car.

Lightbulb Left Lane

I'll never happen here in NY. First thing that left lane hogs do is go right for it. Naturally they are doing the speed limit and they are not moving. In NY it is further complicated by multi-rainbow ethnic groups, that have no clue of how to drive and have no qualms of doing crazy manuevers anywhere. If that is not enough throw in the people that drive with a phone in their ear making it a brew for disaster. The only logical & pragmatic recourse is to avoid them and drive as far away from them as possible. I don't bother honking or gesturing I just go around the obstacle and leave them behind. :ah:
