That temp gauge looks a little on the hot side. Should be pointing strait up, not to the right. May want tot keep an eye on that gauge. Although it could have been running in hot weather all day long. But mine never goes beyond the "8" even on a hot Texas day.

the first thing I noticed is the temp gauge running hot and it says only 58 degrees on your dash. With it being only 58 degrees outside why is your thermostat that high?

dude, you guys are scaring me about my temp gauge
let me tell you some info about on where we at....
that picture was taken at almost on the top of the mountain. it was almost 2 hours of hard driving on backroads twisties (not to worry, there we're no cyclist or any other car at that time and it's really a backroad). I think eventhough it was 58deg. after all that driving is the reason why it's on 180. *please tell me that's the reason not other else coz i got 2 AX back to back in few weeks*
I got apointment at the tech. to get clearance for the upcoming track event (HSDS) at one of our local PCA. and for sure I will mention the temp. gauge.

If the line there is 180, your past 180, your actually closer to 200! Maybe, maybe on a 90+ degree day but 58 degrees and almost 200? This is not normal, maybe if you were redline alot and up a super steep hill, maybe.

Okay, I call the regular mechanic and dealer and mentioned them about the temperature and they both advice that as long as it stays that way or the fan automatically turns on when it hit the certain degree, the car will be okay

You should still do a quick self-test on the radiator fans. While the car is idling at full temp and the AC is on full blast (as cold as you can make it) set the parking brake and walk around the front of the car.
Put your hand under your bumper just in front of both tires and you should feel hot air blowing and hear it as well. If you are not feeling and hearing both fans blowing, one has gone out... and it's probably the primary which is located on the driver's side.
If both are blowing, not to worry!

Great news! Now if you don't see any reduction in the amount of coolant in the resovoir each morning, checked when the engine is cold, it's just your temp needle placement... you can quit worrying altogether.
Clusters go out on boxsters all the time and needles are replaced rather poorly, even at dealerships. Who knows if yours has been replaced or not if you are not the first owner of the car.
BTW, when (or if) you swap your gauge faces out for white or silver ones, you can correct the potential needle placement variation.

If it looks like an issue, did anybody mention possible cleaning of the radiators? At 55K miles, you could have a lot of debris clogging them up.

Excellent point! Mine were full of leaves, road debris (rocks, bits of wood, etc.) and even a couple of cigarette butts. Taking a crevice tool on your vacuum and carefully cleaning it so as not to bend the fins or break the plastic grillwork should be very helpful to keep the temp gauge where it belongs.
Of course, if you like, you can remove the front bumper cover and do it properly, but that's a couple hour's work.
