an hour to take a picture?
hi,
i was at a very well lit parking lot in the mall, about 9:30pm or so, so its dark out. i was waiting for all the cars that were passing by and getting different light streaks as they passed by, had the camera on the tripod and even set it to 2 second timer to definitely not have any shakes. zoomed in 10x (optical) and shot away., it was definitely good times trying to time all those cars passing by. this is what i came up with. took me almost an hour or so, then the few select pictures were merged in to have a nice flow of colors in the background. let me know what you think... http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1069/...49321c87_o.jpg |
The outcome of your wait is great.
I know you answered this before, but what camera are you using? |
Fuji S5700, its a 7.1megapixel camera, along with a Vanguard tripod.

great picture :)
|
I like it...great job.
|
I love keeping the shutter open and taking shots at night! Especially if you've got a cool skyline as your backdrop!
|
Are you a professional photographer?
Your photos are amazing. :) |
You spelled "Fotos". It's not Fotos. It's Photos. I would change that on your picture.
|
I think he did that on purpose.

Beautiful shot, Djomlas!
I know what you mean about waiting for all the cars to move along, but sometimes they add character. With all the beautiful curves and shadows, Boxsters are made for night shots! http://www.babblers.org/gallery/files/1/1/_night1.JPG http://www.babblers.org/gallery/files/1/1/_night2.JPG |
yeah thats done on purpose.
in serbian PH is just F. its the only language pretty much that has a letter for every sound, and every sound has a letter. pretty neat, so teheres no spelling bee, it just doesnt exist, its selfexplanitory, if you can hear it you can write it , and it you can write it you can say it, so no problems with misspronouciation. nice catch tho ;) |
So I guess that makes you a "Fotographer" instead of a Photographer. ;)
|
FOTOGRAFER, you still used ph hehe

i actually got here to the US 8 yrs ago, didnt speak ANY ENGLISH, and when i mean any, i really mean that, i knew how to say hello lol, that was it. i had 6 yrs of german in school over there in serbia, but that really doesnt help you much with english haha. but thx to the war there, now i can not only speak serbian, but croatian, and bosnian, and serbian. its pretty much serbian, just they call it something else since they wanted their own country, so they called the language something else |
Ahhh! It all makes sence now. I'll be sure to remember this when I read your threads. Not bad for a self taught person. :D

Djolmas, zdrahvo, kahko steh? (that's all I know) :)
My wifes family (on her mother's side) is from Dubrovnik. We hope to visit her homeland someday... beautiful country! Quote:

That was taken at the 2004 West Coast Boxsterfest. I love CalNeva too. A lot of interesting history.
Here's another shot and if you look real close, you can see the ghosts of Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe admiring the Boxster coral. ;) http://www.babblers.org/gallery/file...nightghost.JPG Quote:

Really nice shots Bob. The color is great and the night really brings it out.
