Angry Got a Boxster..AND...Hit and Run!!! (update/pictures)

So here is a story. I bought my first porsche that i wanted for more than 10 years!!! MAN was i exited!!! Its 1998 Bosxter, silver with red interior, touring package and only 40k miles. I was going to take pictures this weekend and tell the new to forums that im a member of, i didnt want to say anything without pictures because i know how you guys are then it comes to that..............and then earlyer today.........I'm driving 15-20 mph in 3rd lane because i need to make a turn at a light. 1st and 2nd lane are stoped because of red light, and all of a sudend a car sticks out maybe 10 or less feet in from of me trying to get in to an ally.....i hit the breaks hard but there is no way i can stop so i pull the wheel to the right towand that ally and get on a curb and swite the corner to his car. If i would have not done that i would have hit him pretty hard!! By the time i jump out of a car the guy has left and i cant see him maybe in 5 seconds the cop pulls next to me and asks if im ok i say yes and he ses "I will check whats up with the guy" and he drives after him.....I have never heard from that cop again and and later i called police and they knew nothing of it. So i filed a report. Damage to the car: Drivers side bumpers corver is scrached 18 inches, under car fuel rails bent in front, Jacking point plate is bent, rear mud guard slightly scrached, and probably some plastic peaces are broken under a car.

FU**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That damage sounds very minor. I'm sure you will have it back in no time. Welcome to the forum!

If you hit that hard, there could be frame damage.

Make sure you get the car repaired by a shop which does a complete frame alignment analysis before estimating the repairs. This could easily be major damage, enough to total the car.

Welcome, sorry to hear about your misfortune. On the bright side, now you won't freak out if you get a tiny scratch.

Unhappy

Welcome to the Forum. I kinda know how you feel. I bought my 02 Boxster in early April of this year and the next day was lowering the top in cold weather and cracked the rear plastic window. After all was said and done, the mistake cost me around a $1,000 to correct.

You'll get lots of good information from the Forum
