Outside Temp Sensor

My outside temp sensor is not reading correctly. Temp was 92 and it was reading 73. My car is a 03 "S" any suggestions? Of course the warranty expired the 2nd of May and the dealership wants to charge by the hour to diagnose the problem and then add onto that to fix it. :ah:

Rule out the sensor itself. Find another Boxster/996 and swap.

I swapped out a working sensor from a friends car and it was off just like my original. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

thanks
