I drove a very nicely restored 82 930 yesterday...
 
Man, what a great car! Seriously fast and looks to kill.

The weird thing is, I drove the Boxster back home and even as awesome that Turbo coupe was, the Boxster S is a fantastic car with a charm all it's own. I really developed an instant appreciation for it because I was thinking it would pale compared to the Turbo, but it doesn't. It actually fits better and is decidedly more refined while still cranking out more than enough power. I wish I could have one of each as they are so different, but can't do it right now. Bang for the buck though, it's really hard to beat the Boxster S. :)

Exactly. Good as the '80s 911s were/are, they cannot hold a candle to the newer cars in terms of refined performance. Altogether a more modern driving experience.
