Radio Code won't enter
 

I lost power in my 99 Boxster. The CODE **** displays, and the book said that one asterisk will go away with each digit entered. I have the code card and entered the 4 digits and nothing happens. - it still shows CODE ****. Eventually, BECKER displays. Another interesting note, when I turn it off, the ON button does nothing unless I hit the button to lower the face plate and then push it back in. Then hit the ON button which brings up CODE ****.

Any clues?

the * will disappear after entering the #'s on a CDR220. Is that the model you have? I think on the CR-210 you have to hit either the up or down button to act as 'Enter'

Might want to remove the faceplate completely and clean contacts on it and head unit w/ a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

If you put the wrong code in three times you have to wait an hour with the battery one, I think, before it will let you reenter the code.
