6speedonline.com

I know there are few 968forum.com members that are also 6speedonline.com members. I have been trying to joint that forum for nearly 2 years now. They keep banning my e-mails and I tried quite a few. So I was wondering if someone knows why? Because I’m not the only one that cant join for sure. And maybe if you are a member you can find out what do I need to do to join? Your help is greatly appreciated. And no worries im staying a loyal member of 986forum.com

Don't worry, it's not you personally. It's just that they only will allow you to join if you give them an email address that is not a free email service provider (ie. aol, yahoo, msn, hotmail, etc.) All those email service providers will be banned. The reason they do this is to limit spammers from joining and posting.

Join with a work email address, for example, and you will be let in.

I had the same problem as you, until I just joined with my work email address. Voila, that did the trick.

Hope that helps.

I don't know anything about that other forum, but maybe they don't allow members under the age of 21. I noticed that you are under that age. Just a thought.

I agree with Boxtaboy...for the longest time, I've been trying too but I've been using my hotmail and yahoo account. So I finally use my sbcglobal.net acct and it works

Don't worry about it...6 speed online is filled with poseurs and vendors aggressively pushing their P product..blah, blah...the web site fills like one big car catalog.
:barf:

LOL really, are there 15 year olds claiming to own 2007 997TTs and GT3's lol

djomlas 06-08-2007 12:06 PM

not really.
the feeling that i get from that site is this: everyone on there has a lot of money, well most of them, and they dont care how they spend it. meaning like getting wheels for 6 grand, put them on the 70 thousand dollar car, then sell the whole thing as total package in few monts for like 55 including wheels, and get new car, then do the same...
but i guess when you have money none of that is really an issue.

CJ_Boxster 06-08-2007 12:17 PM

oh wow, must be nice. :)

do you mean rich and stupid?

Nice forum but the guys who run it are A'holes. They banned me because I kept posting about a product that was not sold by their supporting vendors. They gave me no warning. Just Bam you're banned. They said I was advertising without paying a fee even though I do not work for the company whose product I recommended and I of course don't get paid by them in anyway either. I was just very enthusiastic about sharing a great idea with my fellow car guys.

Ive been a member over there for a couple of years... its my favorite forum... not the best for boxster information (thats what here, ppbb, and brb are for), but I like the atmosphere. Its not a place for really rich guys, or kids posing like they are. Its for car nuts.... plain and simple. Some of the biggest posters have garages that are out of this world, and others have boxsters. They don't care about what you drive. Personalities and a common love for beautiful cars are what rule there. As far as being banned... yeah that happens alot, but you have to read the forum rules first. Thats the same anywhere where there as many members as they have. They have to be strict about their rules because vendors see 6speed as such a good place for marketing. And yeah you need a legit email address to sign up with now... used to not be that way, but even after you get registered sometimes you have to wait a while for approval.

Stryke 06-12-2007 06:24 PM

What's 6speed? :)

easyc 06-12-2007 06:26 PM

Its a really cool place that has some wierd guy always trying to sell everyone ugly cheap knock-off watches... :D

Stryke 06-12-2007 06:33 PM

Ah, I see. Sounds like a fun spot. :)

Bavarian Motorist 06-13-2007 05:35 AM

What happened when I first registered was the same as you. I even tried AOL addresses and the same things happened.

Then I waited a few months and tried again and my original email address (hotmail) worked and I was allowed to register.

Perhaps there is just a waiting period...

I feel out of place there because everyone seems to know each other personally :) But I still enjoy the forums.
