Video Camera Mount Recommendations
I'm looking for a cheaper version of this.
http://www.bkauto.com/images/r9011/r9011.jpg Any recommendations? |
i built one out of thick threaded rod and steel plates. the video wound up being very shaky; i bought the BK mount anyway and it's rock solid. don't bother building one; just buy a used one if you can find it.

Thanks for responding. Did you have to remove the storage bin or anything else? Can you operate the top with the camera and mount in place?

There are some cheaper options on this site and if you call them they will work with you on a solution. The ones with the straps seem like they would work with the factory rollbar, but you would just have to request larger bands.

i just bought a suction sup one.its rock solid.
i actually stuck it to a TV screen and was able to lift the whole TV with it...so its pleanty for light camera. got it at Frys for $15, and it has an attachment for a cellphone |
If you get a camera that mounts outside the car it is unlikely you would be able to participate in a DE event like that. I'm pretty sure they don't allow it. I would by a mount for the inside of the car.
