How many miles?
How many miles can a 3.2L Boxster S engine last before running into problems? The 100K milestone is not what it used to be 20 years ago IMO. Car engines lasts much longer now I think.

That's an ENTIRELY subjective question.
No one can say how long an engine will last. PERIOD. We can surmise how long it SHOULD last.... |
101,143 miles
Give or take a few tenths... |

I'm putting about 10K-12K miles a year.
right now I'm at 40K on my 2000 S. Which means I won't hit 100K for until maybe 2012 soooo I have another 5 or 6 years before I worry about these things. --runs screaming around the house    I only have five years left!!! |
Well, there are many variables including how well the car has been maintained, how hard it has been driven, etc. I guess my question should be "Is the 100K miles mark still signifies that a car is 'done'?" or is it now 150k or 200K?
