Question Can't program homelink

For the last 2 hour's tried to program the garage door opener to the homelink. My opener has the changeable code system.

Yes, I have carefully followed the instructions from the owners manual & the door opener.

You must first have HomeLink learn one of your...

working remotes.
Put your homeLink in "Learning Mode" and then press your working remote until it "learns" it.
Then, press the programming button on the garage door opener until it starts blinking. then use the HomeLink to "learn" the rolling code.

I had to mess around with mine to get it to work too - neither the garage door manual or my Porsche manual worked. I tried a few derivations of each and eventually something worked.

Hi there, I feel your HomeLink pain! See this thread and my post about how I got it to work -- hopefully you have the same luck that I did! Now that I know how to do it I set it up on my parents' cars as well this past weekend, worked a charm. Let me know how it works out for you!

Gonna have to try your method; so far, neither the manual nor the Homelink website instructions have worked for my 987

Oh...I see your link was your reply to my earlier post - I missed that. Thanks
