Turbo bumper in Polyurethane??

Does anyone know who/where I can get get a polyurethane turbo bumper kit for the 986? I want one like Precision Porsche, but in poly.

Photo attached.

Not sure that exists. Porsche only ever made the Turbo front bumper to fit the Turbo front end (headlamps and front fenders). All the rest of the "turbo look" bumpers seem to be fiberglass. If you find a vendor, please let me know as I am interested as well.

These guys claim their turbo-look bumper is polyurethane for $1,200.

YES. That place and one of our sponsors, Fiberworks makes that one particular turbo bumber in Polyurethane. That's the ONLY one they sell that way. All of the other ones are figerglass. These 2 companies most likely get their's from the same place.

Apparently Precision Porsche also makes that bumper in poly. has anyone dealt with any of these suppliers and have any comment on the fit and finish?

Porsche986spyder,

Where did you get your front bumper and side skirt. It looks awesome.

Here is a link to a PPBB discussion about the NR cover...

Definately looks like it is drooping down on this car...

Precision Porsche, but mine is NOT Poly Urethane. My bumper is fiberglass. Never had any problems with it or the fitment. Good company to order from.

NR Auto

I got mine from NR Auto, it is poly and fits very nice.

I do not plan on adding side-skirts since the very bottom is black and I don't think it messes with the lines too much. It does scrape a few more curbs than before, but no damage as of yet, and being poly it doesn't crack. I have had it for about 4 months.

Porsche986spyder & yurkope,
How many inches is your front lip spoiler off from the ground?
How are your bumpers holding up against stone chips?
Any front scraping issues with your current front bumper height?

I never actually measured with a ruler, but after I had the bumper put on, I pulled up next to a TT and I had a pen to guesstimate, mine was about 1 pen length, while the TT was about a pen and a half.

How are your bumpers holding up against stone chips?
Mine is doing excellent. I was originally just going to get the stock bumper and front end re-painted and have a 3M clear bra installed. I had bad stone chips. However, to my surprise my bonus was larger than expected so I added the new bumper. I now have a stone chipped stock bumper in the basement.

I find myself being more careful around curbs and the only new place I scrape is my driveway. I checked the underside of the poly the other night & it is still in good shape, just a few rub lines accross the bottom. From the front and sides, no one could ever tell.

Front end is very low. Not sure about the exact measurement, but I would say only 5.5inches. I could not use the front lip that it came with. It was way to low and made of fiberglass also. With it on, the front was about 3inches off the ground. So I added a black rubber lip that flexes. So now if I scape a curb or any incline I don't even have to worry about it. I know it's just the rubber lip moving around. Paint looks great. But that really just depends on how good of a paint job you have to begin with. No rock chips. I also added a small strip of clear 3M stone gaurd to the part just below the vent and between the grill just over the weekend. Just for safe measurements. Looks great! My side skirts are the same but with no 3M stone gaurd. They still look new also. Had mine on for 1 year now.
