Make the pic all black & white with the exception of your Box and it would be pretty neat.

Grizzly 05-27-2007 09:28 PM

That would be cool, but I don't know how to do it. I can only make the whole pic B&W.

Wheels

Are those TSW wheels?

rockbox 05-27-2007 11:18 PM

How do you like this look? its a photocopy effect from photoshop. Makes your box jump right out at ya. did you stop right in the middle of the street?

rockbox 05-28-2007 01:57 AM

I twisted the picture around so you don't have to twist your neck around, cause that is what people naturally do with a shot like that.

Besides I'm sure people are twisting their necks all around when you drive by in that nice looking boxster. lol !

Very pretty car!

Grizzly 05-28-2007 06:32 AM

@ r9i8c7k, Yes, they're TSW Montages.

@Rockbox, Thanks for photoshopping the pics. I don't own photoshop. The picture was taken on a stretch of highway that the city never put through. All drivers are forced to make a left at the split in the guardrail.

Thanks, Bruce.

I had the same wheels on my G35. The are great looking wheels.

Jeez, by the time you guys are done it'll look like I knew what I was doing. Thanks DJ, I saved that one. It's really pretty nice.

super66 05-28-2007 09:18 PM

the car and especially those rims look great from that angle....you should update the sig grizz....

Grizzly 05-28-2007 09:26 PM

Hmmmmm...maybe I will. Black & White background, or color?

Jeph 05-28-2007 09:54 PM

C'mon you guys. Touch ups are great and everything... but you're missing the obvious stuff that's ruining the shot. Power lines? That weird pole sticking out of the trunk -another one on the top? That white Maxima in the background? A GOLD hood crest?

Details people, details! We're getting there...

Man, you guys are amazing with these computer programs. If I ever get arrested, I'm calling you immediately..."So, you see, your Honor, I could not have committed this crime. As the photos clearly show, I was in Okinawa, playing golf with O.J. at that exact moment. You will also note, your Honor, that I am black & white. How could a black & white person possibly rob a liquor store in full color?"

djomlas 05-29-2007 07:11 AM

dude, i just noticed that your car is a 97, WOW....sure as hell looks new.
way to keep her in good condition.

John V 05-29-2007 09:03 AM

Why was the picture taken at such an extreme angle? It's really distracting. Other than that, the latest edit by Jeph looks nice.

Grizzly 05-29-2007 09:21 AM

I've seen a bunch of photos that DJ has taken where the car is not square in the frame and they always look great. I guess I tilted the camera way too much.

I have no idea how to take pictures  .

denverpete 05-29-2007 01:03 PM

This thread and the posts in it are exactly why I love this Forum! You guys ROCK!

Great looking shot (well by the time they got done with it anyway) Griz...

I think you tilted the camera perfectly. All those centered & leveled photos are just boooring -- reminds me of poets who always write in rhyme. Hence, Conradtan's version gets my vote -- good work.

Btw, here's one of my last photo-shoot: http://ccrma.stanford.edu/~peer/james-guilford.html

I do personally like this one, and I'm with Jeph, putting the color back into the hood crest would look great I think

Well, I originally posted the picture just as a goof. After all the work you guys did, however, I really began to like it. I decided to adopt Jeph's version as my signature pic. While it's cleaned up considerably, I like the highway in the background, as if I'd stopped in live traffic to take a photo.

Jeph and I will need to work out his royalties, I would imagine.

conradtan 05-30-2007 10:24 AM

Ok Ok...gold crest. :)

I can't take all the credit. How excellent it is to see our team effort in your signature! Best looking '97 ever!

Of course, you are right. Thanks everybody!

Now, what programs did you guys use?

kabel 05-30-2007 04:29 PM

Adobe Photoshop is the prefered application.

Kabel,

Thanks for your help. You originally made the background B&W, the turning point in my opinion.

I normally use Photoshop, but for this task I used Paint Shop Pro. A nice $90 alternative to spending $900 on Photoshop.

Nice job!

Grizzly 05-31-2007 12:34 PM

Thanks, Bruce. And you're right...though I've never counted receipts, I'm pretty sure I don't have $20k in this car.
