heres a quick vid of my exhaust mod
i have 2 levers to open and close it, completely bypassing the muffler like the pedro exhaust mod, but with shut off valves.
total cost, parts and shop labor ($47) click here to see tinypic video |
Levers? Uh... you are gonna have to elaborate on that one. I want some pics and a diagnosis on the quality of the seal when its closed.
|
yup, 2 levers on each side of the muffler, 100% sealed.
i love the sound,a nd i can open it fully or partially. its a 3/8 opening, i didnt want anything bigger. ill get pics later on |
I've got basically the same thing, except it's not as loud and cost about $2150.00 more.

hehe, good one.
i can make it as loud or quiet as i want to technically, that was tully opened. btw, never seen that switch before, pretty sweet :) |
3/8's hmm, explain this lever system. In cab or do you have to reach under the bumper? Also... schnell, how much would that switch cost if I wanted to buy one for my valves? Part number?
|
That's pretty sweet DJ! And to think I paid $750 for my Dansk exhaust. LOL.
Is there any resonance from the muffler after doing that mod? |
well for 47 total its definitely not in-cab-electrical-button system, all i have to do is reach under the bumber and open them up.
plus, it doesnt bother me to get out and open them, same with choping of the plastic window. o well there is no resonance at all, i like it inside and outside the car, in the vid i drove the 1st part and then i let my buddy drive it for a bit so i can hear it from the outside. |
Do you have any clips of it partially opened?
|
no i dont have any
