It's not a matter of opinion at all- Porsche DOES photograph all it's cars with a Front plate.

Euro Plate, US Plate, what's the difference - it's still a Front Plate!

It was taken by Porsche.

None of the vehicles in the photograph are displaying a front plate.

At least we don't have it as bad as C6 corvette owners. Apparently, the engineers/designers didn't have a front plate in mind when they made the car. This is a product they are using...

Wow. Harsh. I thought you'd be able to accept the fact that you are wrong a bit more graciously. I mean, being that you are wrong so often, (except of course, when you are plagiarizing someone else's work) I imagined you'd be more skilled at handling it gracefully.

Wrong is palatable. Indignant, pompous, authoritative and wrong..well, that's a little harder to take.

You purport to be some kind of Law Enforcement, or some Homeland Security what not - an enigma.

Assuming that's actually true (a stretch I am probably not willing to make) - that you're not just some low-level government functionary (READ in charge of Post-it-Notes inventory) who couldn't hack it in the Commercial World, I'd say we're all in trouble and should start Duct Taping our windows immediately!

looks like you got a foot in your mouth on this one grizz....porsche updated that pic, I hear the guy who released it and ruined their perfect record of always photographing with a front plate was cut loose.....read em and weep

Hmm. I went to the walpapers for porsche.com and like half didnt have front plates either... I run without them since I want better MPG's due to the less drag.

I live in Massachusetts which is a 2 plate state. The state is in transition from the rear plate only (green) to front/rear plates (red). When I picked the car up my dealer gave me a great tip "unofficially". I went out and bought a cheap $5 plastic plate bracket. I mounted the front plate to it but did not screw the bracket onto the car. I then broke the plastic bracket and I keep it in the front trunk. If I get stopped my line is" I just came out of the mall yesterday and found the broken plate on the ground - see, here is the broken one. I have a new Porsche mounting plate on order". I betting I can pull it off if I'm stopped. I even smudged some dirt on the plate. Hate to be sneaky but the front of my car looks great without it. PS: I did need to mount the plate with some very small screws to get the annual inspection sticker.

I was talking about weather it looks UGLY or not. The difference is the size and shape of the our UGLY US PLATES vs. the cool sleek and small EUROPEAN size. They look much nicer. Again, it's all about your opion. As an Art Director, I think I know what I'm talking about. It's what I do for a living. And those beauty shots that PORSCHE uses are always with EURO plates. Their is a big difference in terms of what looks better.

I guess the best question is why are 38 states required to have both front and rear and those other states are not? I moved from Louisiana to Texas and was shocked to learn the the state does not require a helmet when ridding a motorcycle requires a front plate on your car. Louisiana does not. But they do require helmets. Go figure. :dance:

It won't work. Been there, done that, they gave me a fix-it ticket for it anyway. After the second time being stopped by the cops I gave up.

A co-worked had Geico insurance and his rates went up as a result of his three fix-it tickets for the plate being missing. No points, just a fine, but it was reported to insurance and they jacked his rates. Great stuff.

Perhaps you should review the archives. Beyond stealing from wikipedia and quoting from a service manual, what do you contribute exactly? At least the members seem to appreciate my humor. Yes, we're able to use you to do our research for us, when we don't feel like looking the answers up ourselves. I suppose that's something, but for me at least, not worth enduring your deplorable personality.

If I were willing to steal others' work and spend countless hour researching a shop manual, in hopes that others believed I was knowledgeable, I guess I could be a "valuable" contributor, just like you.

Just curious...when you said I was full of **************** last week and insisted that the forum member get himself to a Hunter 97xx ASAP, did you send him a check for the $200.00 he wasted because you were wrong...again?

As for what I do or don't do for a living, there are at least four forum members who know exactly what I do, where I've been and what I've done. That makes you wrong...again. Does it ever become tiresome for you?

I have to admit that I was very impressed by the stories you recounted recently of your service time and the missions you've flown. Even though I'm not a vet myself, military service is most honorable and impressive to me. Did it ever occur to you, however, that perhaps it was your charming personality that caused your C.O.s to repeatedly send you on those suicide escort missions in the first place? How disappointed they must've been each time they saw you limping back to the deck, smoke billowing from your tail. "Dammit, send him up again!"
