Just went I thought I wasn't going to order the spoiler I see these and want it more then ever! Very nice,now you need some painted bumperettes;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=140041440314&rd=1,1
If you decide to go this route then make sure you let them know you are sending Boxster bumperettes,they are different then 996,so they just can't paint any bumperettes,they have to wait to receive yours.

Looks great! Hope it holds up. I would just paint your bumberrets yourself. Easy to do.

I've never painted anything like a car part before. Any advice?
1. Paint - at the dealer I presume? $??
2. Ideal painting conditions/prep work?
3. Spray gun?
4. Time to dry?
5. # of coats?

Seems like a lot of work. Hehe...

If you are think that you could mess them up don't do it. It cost about $30 in parts and a couple of hours in labor. Just find a PCA sponsor body shop,tell them you want the bumper gaurds sanded then painted the color of the exteroir. I paid $150/set of bumperettes painted at a local shop.

Or you could just use the eBay listing I showed you.

You can find everything here at this web site for do-it-yourself. You will need your paint code from your car.
http://expresspaint.com/
Paint in a spray can is 14.95 plus shipping. Buy 2 cans. You will need 1, but it's good to have a backup and you may want it for touch up work. They have a good section on how to paint and primer parts. I just used some over the counter sandable primer to make the surface smooth and not textured. Just keep applying the primer and sanding between coats until it's smooth and then apply your paint color. Let it dry 24hrs. and then apply your gloss coat. Let dry for another 24hrs. before re-installing. I posted a how to a few months ago. If you do a search on this forum, you will find it.

Looks great. I love that spoiler and the smoked lights especially on that color car. Did the spoiler come painted to match your Boxster?
