The dealer claimed to have done an inspection, I noticed this before we bought it and the idiot salesman said it was normal. I just hope it hasn't been this way for to long causing premature wear.

Your dealership sounds either crooked or incompetent. When buying a car like this you have to take it to an independent source for a PPI that doesn't have a conflict of interest. Some places obviously don't tell you the whole story so they can save a sale and sell some cars. I hope everything works out for you on this one. Keep us posted.

I would talk to the Sales Manager and let them know that a Salesman claimed that he car had an inspection, even though it looks as if it did not.

Thanks for the tips, I have already done everything I can about this and they know they messed up, and the cost on this repair will make them think twice. It was incompetence because I doubt they had had many porsches before.

They finally got the part and the porsche dealer is going to put on. Then the CEL came on and it was a vacuum leak. Good thing I got an extended warranty it has already paid for itself.

For those of you that car I finally got the car back after two weeks, and the plate and CEL got fixed. Very happy with the car mechanically, very diappoined cosmetically. The e-brake book has the leather cut up and the top and body have some new scratches. This isn't the last the dealer willl hear about this.

Good luck. The cosmetics can be dealt with.
