Rims Not fitting on 06 Boxster

Hey guys im a newbie.
I bought some RPK 038 wheels (9 by 10.5 Rear) with some 275/35/19 tires in the rear for my 06 Boxster. The Tires are hitting the shock in the REAR, so I put 5/16 " universal spacers but that wasnt nearly enough. I measured that I will need about a one inch SPACER. I know this is probably not the best way to go, but seems like my last option. Will I run into any problems and will my 2006 Boxster look like one of those lowriders with the wheels sticking out???
PLEASE HELP ME

i have 19x10 rear and seem to be fine. what offset are you runnng? also, 275-35-19 sounds too big a tyre to me. some guys are running 19s and 20s on renntech, not sure if any help there...

You can run 275 tires on the stock setup for a 987. The problem is the wheels are too wide. You will need to go with a very large spacer to make it work. That might be fine for normal driving (so extra tire wear) but I wouldn't take it on the track with that setup.

It always helps to check the required offset BEFORE purchasing wheels....

Problem Solved:
I guess when I broke my old rim I bent the knuckle a few mm, causing the wheel to rub the shock. After replacing the part the wheel now fits perfectly. thanks for your help guys.
