Cluster lights

Ok .. i went to pull out my cluster so that i could paint the cover silver. Well after painting the cover i put it back in and for some reason the LCD screens for the miles, temp, and clock did not light up. I could see the numbers but no actual lighting any idea why? I mean the bulbs worked before now it doesn't did anyone else have a similar problem?

That happened to me once with my backlighting for the speedo when i reinstalled the cluster after painting the rings chrome, but it lit up on his own 3 minutes down the road and never went off since.

Hi,

You don't have all the connectors fully seated...

jim,

Most of the times your right but this time unfortunately for me your not. I checked all the plugs in the back and reconnected them and no lights come on the LCD screens. The back lighting comes on for the speedometer, rpms and fuel but nothing else lights up . I can see the numbers on the LCD screens but they are grey .
