Let me know what you think.

I have looked at some pictures of some new companies bumpers and can say that I don't think I would purchase a bumper that has chicken wire in it. That was a ricer thing back in 96. Just my opinion.

I don't like the mesh look much either, but am more surprised that they're charging $1000+ for FRP bumpers. You can get OEM polyurethane bumpers for same price, and they won't chip/crack as easily, and will not have any fitting issues.

It may look like chicken wire, but it's not. It's a mesh material, and IT'S ONLY UESD behind the openings, behind the bumpers. Without them being there, you would have an ugly gapping whole there and allot of trash hitting your radiator and bumber frame. Mine are powder coated black, so you can't really see them to well, but the silver colored ones just make it look cheap(like chicken wire) but they aren't.
Here is another example. You can see without these the metal farme would be more visible and exposed. That's the main reason these mesh inserts are used.

Im with Boxtaboy. I just can't be sold on that. Not only the mesh thing fiberglass, my car is not that low and I rub some things sometimes. I'd rather stay urethane. Just an opinion.

I have to agree on that part. Fiberglass is not always the way to go. I preffer Polyurethane over Fiberglass too. But I've never had any problems with mine. I added the flexible rubber lip on the bottom for just that reason. When it does scrape, it saves the bumper. Anyway, that other web site did sell one turbo front bumper that was made of Poly. ;)

I do hope that the whole front bumper is Poly though. Some shady dealers sell FRP bumpers with just the lower lip in urethane, and try to pass them off as full P/U bumpers.

I'm pretty sure it is, but that is the only one (turbo front) out of all the other 5-6 that is Urethane. I've seen that same one on another web site and it is the only one they sell that is Urethane.
