Dension GW500 + CDR23 + MOST

I've got a Dension GW500 in a 2003 Boxster S with Bose Upgrade (ie a fibre-optic MOST system) and a CDR23+Amp but no PCM.

I had been having the same issue as previous posts, with the iPod going into either Random Shuffle or Track Repeat mode everytime it's connected.

I've just updated the D-GW500 Firmware to 2.05 MOST and this seems to have resolved the problem.

Note - The upgrade did initially crash the iPod but after I reset it twice (press Menu & Select simultaneously for about 6 seconds) it has started to work. Fingers crossed.

Two questions:
1) Does anyone know if the Blue Tooth adaptor from Dension will allow proper Hands Free calling without a PCM?
2) Can it also work with a TomTom to give the voice control through the sound system? (The web site indicates it can).

Thanks!

sweet! I'm going to go download the update now (if I can find the link again). This has been bugging me for a while.

(I have a 2003 Boxster S with the Bose system in it. I installed the iPod interface right after I bought it last June)

Hmmmmmm..... here's the link to firmware version 2.05
http://support.dension.com/support-center/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&root=12&id=110

But here also, is the entire list of known bugs of 2.05:

"Known Bugs:
----------
- After iPod is disconnected then reconnected again, repeat and random settings are not kept."

(source is the firmware history txt file that downloads with the firmware. the document was last updated on 9-19-2007, the firmware was updated on 9-11-2007. I would have waited a day, but that's just me.)

Maybe they fixed most but not all of the causes?
