SIR: 2008 Boxster Special Edition?

Sorry if this has already been posted but I stumbled across this when I was looking for info on the 2004 Special Edition. Did a search here and didn't see anything so maybe this is relatively new info.

2008 Special Edition Boxster - Hmmm....

Here's hoping its more than just an appearance package

Searched more and found this as well...

2008 Boxster Special Edition - More Info and Better Pic

I think a script black PORSCHE down the side (ala 1972 911RS) would look dyn-o-mite.

I think it's rather boring. It's all stuff that anyone could order up, although perhaps at some cost savings, but who knows.

Wake me when the 987 Turbo arrives.

I kinda like this one. The seats are very cool. Go to the 'for sale' section and look at the 987 with the orange sport seats.

That first link shows a different front bumper all together. I like it better thatn the orange one in the second link you posted.

That's just the NEW 07 GT3 front end from the 911 slaped on the front of a Cayman. Still looks great! Just not really an offial "TECHART" original.

No, that is the ugly techart front end slapped onto a Cayman. Where'd you get the crazy idea that Porsche would ever make a body kit as outlandish and ugly as that?

OOOppps! Your right. The link I found was for another Techart front end. Looks like they make this front end also for the 911 and the 996. Very sharp. My bad.

Looks like Porsche is trying to prop up dwindling sales numbers...

If you realy like that Techart front end you posted. You should see the one someone coppied at VIS. It's made for our 986. Looks like you will need the newer head lights from a 996 and the side fenders too? Headlights are a different shape than ours.

I'm glad I didn't buy the anniversary edition I looked at this winter, especially when you consider the HP of the 07 S unit. If Porsche wants to give their SE cars some franchise they need to do the math under the hood and save the orange...Otherwise style is the only differentiation of what is already clearly a rocketship.
