What do spacers do, really?

Are they for looks? Or any performance benefits?

Thanks! Great website. What do you think though, the mirrors look a little...cheap. They don't look like the airbrushed-photoshop-fancy lighting-high dollar photographer mirrors below. Hehe...

well it isnt painted, looks like its just the housing and you attach it to your exsisting base.

Ya guess they are pretty cool... I wonder if they have the power mirror cables attached or would they be manually adjusted now.

Yeah they are, but hopefully the manufactor of these aftermarket versions for the 996/986 models will have that little crevas sealed or held tightly.
