Does anyone do anything special to shine up the tailpipes?

I used the paste metal polish "Flitz" on mine, applying it with a buffer on a dremel-alike tool. Looked like chrome when done, and the polish has some anti-corrosive properties which has kept it looking nice (except for the unavoidable exhaust residue) since...
