Cleaning soft top

Hi guys,

Just after some advise on what you all think is the best way to cleal the top.

My rag top is a light grey colour and has some pretty bad stains.

I pressume this is from previous owner who used to store it all winter in his garage with the roof down!!

The stained crease marks are pretty bad.

Whats your advice

You need something like the Ragg Topp Cleaner and then the Protectant. I don't know if these products are available in your part of the World:

whatever you do don't use detergent or car wash soap.

Rinse the top with a strong spray of water and get an oxo car wash feather tip brush to get out any soap that may be in there from the previous owner.

Then use the Raggtopp like bmusatti suggested. I rinse the car then spray the top with cleanser and work it in well with the oxo brush. Rinse it out thoroughly.
I like to use one of those rubber absorber towels to dry the top and glass, I avoid using it on paint.

Once you use the Raggtopp protectant (stage two) you'll notice that it leaves the top looking a darker more even look. Spray it in coats don't douse the top with it.
The creases may take a few weeks or months to come out. I try to keep my top down as little as possible(only when I'm in the car).

My car is the same color combo as yours. I also use the Raggtop cleaner and protectant. Before I spray the proctectant on, I tape newspapers around the edges of the top (i let them dangle down the car) so that none of the overspray from the Raggtop gets on my paint.

My Box is grey/grey/grey, too, and I have the same creases and such.... haven't ordered any Raggtopp yet, but will be doing so soon. Gotta decide if the top is decent enough to have the plastic window replaced, or just wait until I can afford a whole new top (which might be another year).

If it cleans up well, and looks good, I'll just have the window replaced, and maybe a few years down the line, I'll have the top replaced.

Thanks for the advice.

Now my search for ragtop cleaner begins in Europe.
