Fast Cars in Illinois

This data was in the Chicago Tribune (Transportation Section) today:

From car registration date, the following numer of cars are in Illinois:

35,404 Chevy Corvettes
14,032 Porsches ( I wonder if this includes the SUV's?)
934 Dodge Vipers
479 Ferraris
231 Acura NSX's
81 Lamborghinis
69 Ford GT's
69 Lotus Esprit Turbos
47 Aston Martins

The Aston Martin salesmen hereabouts like to crow about how many Porsches are being traded in on new Astons. Looks like they still have a ways to go to catch up.

I would guess it includes the SUV....it is after fall pretty fast.....but the numberr of vettes to porsche is the main reason for me that the boxster beats the vette...if I have to look at another vette! its actually refreshing to see a boxster drive by....now if they counted for the vettes on the lots i would be 219,000 vettes in Illinois

That has to include the Cayennes. In my drives around the suburbs I see only 1 or 2 other Porsche cars a week but I see a few dozen Cayennes.

I'd be interested to hear the Ferrari numbers broken up into sports cars vs. the bigger GT cars (550, 599, etc.).
