you could probably do this:

http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=80&st=0?

alternatively, call wheel wizard in atlanta. they do awesome work:

http://www.wheelwizard.com/

should be around $150 for them to fix that.

Jeff, there are 5 P-dealers in your great State. Call the one closest to you and ask the Service Department for a recommendation. Use this link:

http://www.porsche.com/usa/dealers/

I called the Grand Rapids dealer for you and they recommended the following place:

Full Blast
616-893-1917

I took a guess, and thought that you were closest to the Grand Rapids area.

Hope this helps!

yeah that's an easy fix. Its when there is a big dent or chip that its curtains...
If you go to one of the bigger Autozones or Pepboys there should be a body shop section where you can get a sample pack of high grit count sand paper.
Follow the instructions religiously. It's time intensive because you have to wait for each coating of bondo and primer and paint to dry FULLY.
And when you order the Wurth paint kit make sure the nozzle works before you get into it. Those cans come from overseas and I guess I got one that was damaged because 2 hours into the job I was ready to paint and paint wasn't coming out of the can...grrrrr. Had to wait a week for a new can to come in the mail.

You can get the Wurth Paint, silver and clear, from Rich Griot (Griot's Garage). His shipping/delivery time is excellent, as is his customer service. Plus, he's a nice guy.

Mucho thanks

Gentlemen and ladies,

Much thanks for you excellent advice, which is why I love this forum. Alas I looked religiously for these websites and couldnt find them.

bmusatti, I tried to avoid going to a Porsche stealership knowing I would pay a premium. As these are an extra set of wheels I bought from this site, I'm willing to play and experiment with them.

Grizz, mikefocke, insite and perfectlap, thanks for your invaluable advice. I'm taking a week vacation for the first time in eight years. Not going anywhere. Just household and car projects. Gonna replace headlights, paint calipers and maybe wheels. 11 year old son will join in to appreciate the fine car as well.

Will keep you posted with pix, successes and failures.

I checked the website but they don't have Wurth's. THey do have their own proprietary brand . DO you know if they're the same thing?

Jeff,

It looks like he's just having it re-packaged. I need to phone in an order tomorrow anyway, so I'll ask.

Let me know either way.

Anyway my projects: One front lowbeam light went out a week ago. I replaced both with Sylvania Silverstar. Couldnt tell that much of a difference. If and when they die again I'll stick with less expensive halogens. Changing lights was very easy. Took less than 15 minutes from start to finish.

Once again thanks to the great folks on this forum for making it easy.
