Intermittent Dashboard Lights
 

I recently purchased a 2001 Boxster S, and I'm experiencing an issue with the Dashboard Lights working intermittently. When I turn on the headlights, the dashboard/lisence plate lights rarely(never) come on right away. In most cases, they click on after a random time period (10 mins, 20 mins...... 2 hours).
Once they are on, they stay on (i.e. they do not flicker on and off), so it does not seem to be a loose wire.

I also checked all fuses and pulled the headlight switch out, and all seems ok.

Has anyone experienced/heard of this issue before? Could it be a faulty headlight switch?
