Outside Temperature Display

I read on the Boxster FAQ page that it was posible to have the outside temperature displayed on non-on board computer cars. I called my local Porsche dealer (Porsche North Scottsdale) and they said that this was true thru 2001 cars.

Anyone else have expirience with this?

Funny how you get used to things like temperature display and auto-on headlights in your BMW. Oh the inconviences I must put up with in a Porsche :D

search "OBD hack" either here or on the babblers and you will find your answers.
You will have to do some work yourself, my dealer charged me $75 to enable the feature in the computer of the car.
