clamshell/hardtop leak?

hi there,
I recently purchased hardtop and installed with 10 mms gaps around the rear to boxster body. I thinks I might have to adjust the gap tighter because when I washed the car I noticed a few drips enter the car on the drivers side (spinlock area) where the end of the clamshell meets up with the hardtop and the boxster frame. I know it sounds confusing but I have been informed that any water going through the clamshell drains out in the drainage points by the well arches.
has anyone experiened this.
thanks,
