Boxster S OEM Exhaust Information ???
Does anybody know the wall thickness (or gage) of the OEM muffler for the 2002 boxster S ?? Is this muffler a Stainless Steel muffler?? I am working on a bypass system for the stock muffler so i need to find tube of the same wall thickness as the original.
Thanks LRR |

I did a search for Pedro Sport Exhaust and nothing came out. Could you be a little more specific? thanks |
Hi LuisR,
I couldn't fix it, but I did a search on Renntech and came up with the same link c/o dj. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10923&hl=bypass%20exhaust&st=4 0 (Note: click on the above link and then click on the link in dj's message) The gentleman that szentej speaks of is in the link. He would be the person that you may want to contact. Anyway, I hope this link works. You may have to register onto their website before you can view the thread though. |
thanks to all for the help provided.
I got another question, i want to remove the exhaust and I want to do it if possible without removing the rear bumper. I know some of you will say that this is easy but I rather not remove it if I don't have to. So I have attached a picture of an OEM muffler with some elliptical and rectangular figures. I am assuming that to remove the muffler I will need to loosen the bolts enclosed in the elliptical shape and how about what is inside the two squares??? Do i have to unbolt anything there??? or that has no bolts??? Thanks, |
