Porsche model identification...

Hey all, looking for some help in identifying a particular porsche car. I saw it this morning on the PCH. It was red, near point Mugu, and I can't figure out which it might be. It had an older styling look, a lot like the 959, maybe the proportions seemed a tad more exaggerated like a le mans car. It did have the wide squarish rear haunches with the 959-ish spoiler, although instead of the normal 959 arrangement of four vents just aft the rear wheels on the fender, I could swear it only had two or three vents, more rectangular in look like a 997 turbo.

I know this is vague, maybe it was just a 959 replica that I'm remembering differently. Pretty sure the headlights were definitely older, like 993 or before. Any thoughts? Which other Porsches had the rear vents on the corners of the fenders?

-David

That's the 959, right?

I think so. Porsche used to have a better link. I can't find it anymore. Is this what you saw? Maybe it was Jay Leno driving!

Wasn't one of these, was it? A slant-nose, wide-body 911, maybe a Turbo, from the mid-to-late '80s.
