Body kit pictures.. before i had it removed

I liked it but seemed too low and it was almost impossible not scrape going into the driveway. Also hitting bumps on the highway it would scrape the bumper.

Just type in photo upload into google and get links to your pics

djomlas 03-19-2007 08:17 PM

thank god u removed it, thats all im gonna say. good call

clb0099 03-19-2007 08:26 PM

LOL... in my defense the pictures on th website made the kit look alot better then in person. the only thing that is pretty good is th side skirt is exactly the same as the zender ones. So i am thinking of putting thm back on since they gave the car a complete look. I have no pictures of the sides on cause i was disguted by the look of the car that I forgot to take a picture of the sides. Dj how did you the like the amber lights painted the same color of the car pretty good idea i came up with j/k . I got to give ou credited i liked that mod had the body shop paint them and the sidemarkers.

Holy cow is that a boxster or an alien spacecraft? That backend is atrocious. :barf:

djomlas 03-19-2007 08:48 PM

silver looks much better on your headlights than mine.
but the rear end looks horrible man, on the website it looked kinda neat, bt wow what a difference.

Boxtaboy 03-20-2007 03:46 AM

I think I barfed a little just now. :barf:

Just kidding man, but hey, imo, it's a good thing you took that bodykit off. The rear especially is scary.

986speedster 03-20-2007 05:09 AM

What website, and body kit was that? The turbo?

986Roadster 03-20-2007 05:19 AM

Well the back isn't as bad as the front! I have the same rear piece, but have not installed it as yet. I too have issues with what it will look like. I think i kinda like the rear, it's not as bad as you think. What you should of done was get it cut and placed higher, and molded! that might of helped!

Rear still looks good in my opinion, just needs to be fitted higher!

So many ****************************s in here, if you don't like it....why even reply! Just go on your way!

clb0099 03-20-2007 06:02 AM

the problem is you can't fit it any higher to be honest. The front is the same way same stuff. It is good for a show car but not for daily driving whatsoever.

djomlas 03-20-2007 06:19 AM

986Roadster,
we know the guy spent money on it, got it painted and fitted, and now he took it off, if he liked it he woulda kept it.
but i think that on the site it looked pretty neat, but in real life, or from he pictures he showed, it looks horrible, maybe as far as rice.
just look at the front, you can clearly see the line of the bumper trough those holes, and rear extends outward too far and doesnt follow any lines of the car whatsoever.
i actually started laughing at the end, if nothing front looks somewha better than rear, but bad alltogether.
maybe it looks better from different angles, but still... we just have opinions man, and obviously after you post a picture on the forum you are looking for feedback or some sort of criticism.
were not bashing on him or his car, just the product. (look at the line on the front how wobbly it is, its like those bad body kits you see on hondas)

clb0099,
do you have any pictures from the side of the car?

dj,

I am not upset anyone made comments been a cop for almost 9 yrs and i heard everything under the sun either towards me or in general. I liked the kit on the website but when i got put on in person it looked under finished i guess i could have everything molded into the front and back bumper to make it all look one piece but then i would have been stuck with it . I put it on first with the intention if i liked it i would have molded everything in but when it came down to it i really didn't like the look. I don't havea picture of the sides cause I was so disgusted by the way it looked which i stated earlier that I just took front and back pictures . i thank those who stuck up for me but in total honest the kit made the car look far from a porsche. Cars are a live and learn with mods so i learned that this kit didn't look good. Dj..your right my silver lights look better then yours..LOL

ok i lied i have an angle shot of the side but not great.

CJ_Boxster 03-20-2007 06:43 AM

I remember seeing that kit on ebay, it looked pretty damn good on that yellow porsche that it was displayed on but i guess its all in the angle your looking at it from.

blkboxster 03-20-2007 07:01 AM

wow,it looks better stock.

BoxsterBob - CA 03-20-2007 07:16 AM

You made the right move. That kit doesn't belong on a Porsche. Sorry you had to go through the expense and effort, but perhaps you saved some other boarders from the same fate.

dcporsche99 03-20-2007 09:19 AM

Hmmm, sorry about your experience. Thanks for sharing despite the pre-removal outcome. Good decision with the return though. Hopefully, you can get a full refund??

Have a link to the pictures that made it look good?

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99
