Oh Okay, you said 916, there were so few. I was curious what it was like compared to the Karman 914.

Correction:

916 >> 914/6, big big difference.

From what I understand, there were only 11 916s built, 1 supposedly shipped to Florida in 1972 and it was the only one shipped with A/C.

Porsche never mass produced this car, such a shame.

190 hp and the car is only 2400 lbs, really wide 15x7 tires, solid top, wider body, bigger brakes and a 5 speed, I'm sure its a lot of fun.

That was my point, if you had the 916 I would of really like to have read about it.

I imagine you could of retired on what it's worth.

It would probably take Porsche to buy the car back or a vintage car museum. It probably would take a long time to sell it for what its worth to anyone else.

I would love to stumble across someone who had a rare Porsche sitting in a barn somewhere that just wants to get rid of it not knowing much about it.

I have scored some nice rare VWs that way.
