Parting 2.5L Engine, 1997
Make an offer on any parts that are of use to you.
I'm clearing old parts from my garage and have a 2.5L 1997 engine that I'm going to haul away for scrap soon. It was still running when I drove the car into the garage to remove it, but likely has a cracked head and is worn from abuse and neglect. If you want any parts let me know. I am still planning to tear it down before I scrap it, so all bolts and internal parts can be available. The block may be good to rebuild - no metal in oil and it did still run *with coolant in the exhaust and over-pressure in the coolant tank*. ***I'm also about to pull a 2001 2.7L with rod knock and metal in the oil. Parts from that available as well.*** Pics of how it is as of today: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1679236448.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1679236469.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1679236486.jpg |
Your 2.7 - Exhaust Manifolds
Are you willing to sell the exhaust manifolds from your 2.7? Do you know if the CATS are still good?
|
I'll get a look at some cats I already have removed. There may be a good pair. The 2.7L engine I'm about to remove actually has 996 headers and no cat.

I'll do better than that. If you are interested, give me a shipping zip code and I'll figure a price. |

For the 2001, do you have the AOS Breather tube? The one that runs from the AOS to the Throttle body?
Also interested in the passenger side headlight amber corner piece Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I’m repairing an 01 boxster with a 2.7. The car caught fire and melted everything on the top of the engine. I purchased a complete intake, wiring harness, and injectors. I’m in need of all of the plastic or rubber parts on top of the engine under the intake.

Yes I need alt and PS pump . Is your car has a tiptronic in it , I need the shift cable. I also need the engine cooling fan and air breather housing. They are located in the vents on both sides of the car.

Dramabean, I have an AOS tube that's in good shape. The headlight corner isn't great and three tabs cracked when I removed it. I'm not going to try removing any others.
I'll sell the tube and corner for $30 shipped as pictured (except I put some superglue on the corner piece tabs, but I doubt it will hold). https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...7c633b00_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d38b42c9_b.jpg |
Andre: I have a very busy week and it will take a few days for me to gather the parts you want and figure a price. I should have pictures and prices by Friday. Here's what I have gathered so far:
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4965e6f9_b.jpg It includes the engine compartment fan, Vacuum reservoir, Tiptronic shift cable, hose from the AOS to the PCV valve, PS Pump, Alternator, power wires to starter and alternator, hose that connects to the oil cooler, and knock sensors. Still plan to get: Crank case oil sensor, tail lights, seat backs-I have black leather, immobilizer+DME set, oil filler tube, dip stick, change-over valves for vacuum system, and more. |

Thanks for doing business! Perchance do you have one of the foam gutters (passenger side) that keep rain from getting in the cabin. They live under the top. Mine is apparently beyond repair Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
