2003-04 Porsche Boxster S exhaust tips.

Hi guys,
I know this is a long shot but I`m looking for the exhaust tip from a 2003-04 Porsche Boxster S. If If anyone has one and wants to sell it please let me know how much, thanks.

If you still have the tips, but they look crappy, you can paint them with BBQ paint

Thanks but I don't have the tips. I'm looking for them to put on my 2001 base exhaust.

I'm nor sure if this link will work for you. Guy says it's a muffler from a 99 but the tips sure look like 03/04 to me, and there were no S models or dual exhaust tips in 99 in the USA. $200 is a lot for a used Boxster muffler, but still a lot less than what you'd pay for just the tip new from Porsche. Maybe you could buy it and have him drop it off at a shipping outfit. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/167634848590516/

Thanks for the link PaulE. I don`t really want the exhaust and I`m not sure if he would just sell the tips. I tried to message him, but I can`t because I don`t have facebook. I found a good used set from a 2004 yesterday but no one is getting back to me.

I do have a complete '03-'04 S exhaust with the interchangeable tips. You cannot just bolt those tips to an early muffler. I could probably ship, but I am quite certain that shipping would be very expensive as the muffler is not exactly light.

Thanks for the offer but i just bought a brand new set of tips yesterday from England. A bit more than I wanted to pay but still less than half of what sun coast sells them for. I was not looking to buy the complete exhaust, I just want to change the tips to the dual tips as I don't like the single tip. It's not that hard to fit them on any 986 exhaust, all you have to do is weld a small plate with a hole at the bottom of the exhaust to bolt the tips to,. It holds at the top like the 03-04 exhaust.

FYI

I fitted a complete 2003-4 muffler to my 2001. The sound is different and I think better. It's of course not the tips that create the sound difference.

Also FYI the size of the interchangeable tips for 2003-4 is larger and corresponds nicely with the deeper rear bumper valence. The new tips next to an older bumper hang below that valence a bit and could be considered a styling mismatch. It's really ok, but the pro stylists changed both parts.

I'm well aware that the tips don't change the sound.
My exhaust is modified already and it sounds very nice to me, so I'm not interested in changing the exhaust, just the tips. And the reason I bought the 03-04 S tips is like you said, they are bigger and fill the rear bumper opening quite nice. I've seen one already that was done at a garage, and the tips didn't look like they were hanging.

pre 2003 tips are welded, 2003+ are attached by a bolt.
Also, as mentioned - 2003 base tip is much larger and a different shape. While 2001 will fit in 2003, 2003 will not fit in 2001.

2004 tips mounted to 2004 muffler fit fine on my 2001. Mine is anniversary version.
