Rear tray speaker kit
Designed & 3D print mounts for the rear storage tray. These will fit any 3.5" speaker. Put a kit together that includes quick disconnects, 2 brackets & speaker cloth. Also did a write up, but it's pretty straight forward.
Took me several months and about 40 revisions to get these to this point. Have them installed in multiple cars so far without any issues including a full summer outside with the top up in Miami. Will sell each kit for $65 including shipping. I also have designed circuit boards to add heated seats to the 986 using the factory seat heater switch if interested, way cheaper then going the complete factory route and it works with aftermarket seat heaters. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1618278370.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1618278506.jpg |
Do the wires already exist for these speakers? Have a stock 99 base.

No. It's very easy to run them though. I have a write up that goes with the kit

Have pictures of the installed look ?

Man I need these. I'll pick them up too since I'm local

Would you have a pic of the speaker assembly installed (not the second pic)?

I have a new design that is much simpler. I'll post a video of it later today.
I also have brackets for the dash speakers that dont require any cutting of the existing mount. Just remove & install new one with speaker. You can see that video here: https://youtu.be/SPI_xY7I3pM |
Here are some pictures. Printed the brackets in a different color so you could see the mounting. There is also a mount for a screw at the base like the factory version. Speaker mounts from the back and gets screwed in from the front using the standard speaker clips that come in new speaker sets.
My kit includes brackets for both speakers, a quick disconnect set, and speaker cloth. All you need to do is run the speaker wire from your HU or amp to the back of the car and connect to the quick disconnect and wire up the speakers. Soldering is preferred but you could use crimp connections if you wanted. These are made to order using either ABS, PETG or Nylon and everything will be black in color. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1636478615.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1636478643.jpg |
