Bilstein B6

I have a set of B6 struts that are about 2 seasons old. When I went to H&R lowering springs, I found out that I should have B8 shocks due to the adjusted height. Is there any interest here for a good set of B6s ? I figure about $450 USD shippedfor the set.

I may be interested in the rears.

would these be the same fit for a 97 base? Although i'm guessing shipping across the border would not make much sense.

Im not sure about the fitment. You might do a bit of research. My car is a 2004 Boxster S. Shipping shouldn’t be too bad. I can check if you find that they’re a good fit.

$450 shipped? Seems reasonable. :)

my understanding is that they are the same as oem - one is used for standard suspension and the other for m030.

if you have the part numbers i can cross reference. Also, for clarity, when you say they are 2 seasons old have you been running them for 2 years with the H&R lowering springs? if so about how many miles did you put on them lowered? Thanks

The B8 is shorter. Apparently the stock strut is equivalent to a B4 and the B6 is a performance upgrade. The B8 is the same as the B6 but shorter to give the proper pre-loads when using lowering springs. In my case, with H&R lowering springs, the B6 shocks will not be loaded enough to give me the optimum performance.

isn't m030 lower? perhaps the euro version, where row m030 is lower than na m030?
