This is for the six speed boxster s manual transaxle. It is supposed to prevent the second gear issues that plague these transaxles.

2ND GEAR POP-OUT UPGRADE-GBOX Transmission

Unfortunately, my 2nd was too far gone to be helped by this, needed complete replacement of second gear. Selling because I cannot use it and compete in STR Autocross class as it is not an allowed modification.

im interested, my 2nd pops out sometimes. does it work on all years of the 986?

From reading the Gbox page I get the impression it does. Would be happy to sell it to you and take it back for a full refund if it didn’t fit for some reason.
